A Promising Concept Marred by Execution Issues - 2/5
I recently played "The Report: The Eastwind Creature" and while it showed glimpses of potential, several issues detracted from my overall experience.
Areas for Improvement:
Translation: Unfortunately, the English translation requires significant refinement, making it difficult to fully immerse myself in the story.
Driving Mechanics: The driving segments feel clunky.
Pacing and Gameplay: Some actions, such as bed interactions, felt unnecessary and disrupted the flow. More engaging alternatives could enhance the player's experience.
Movement: The walking speed is too slow, and the lack of a sprint option makes exploration tedious.
Audio: The constant music loop becomes grating, and the absence of ambient sound effects detracts from the atmosphere.
Positives:
One Effective Jump Scare: The game managed to catch me off guard with a well-timed fright.
Baffling Moments:
Random Encounters: Some elements, like the horse in the motel room, left me perplexed and wondering about their significance.
Overall:
"The Report: The Eastwind Creature" feels like a game with a compelling idea, but it's hampered by filler content and rough execution. With refinement in translation, gameplay, and audio, this title could reach its full potential. As it stands, the frustrating issues overshadow the game's promising concept.
While the game had it's flaws in certain areas. I had fun and enjoyed the game's flow regardless of the drawbacks. It got me pretty good on a couple moments. It's good, waiting for more games in the future.
The jumpscares in this game got me really good....every time. There were definitely some janky moments that could use some work, but overall the concept is really cool and I enjoyed playing the game!

Quiero aclarar más el final en una proxima update pero por cuestiones de tiempo y trabajo no pude hacer nada mejor, aun así aseguro una buena update. con el tema de los pngs si es un estilo que yo le he querido dar al juego, pero el final tomo la mano contigo a que debo aclararlo más
The game was very spooky with good atmosphere and then it got dumb at the end. It was a very enjoyable over the top kind of dumb. I give 4 out of 5, if it didn't have some massive jank it'd be a 5 out of 5 for me.
Ok so this gives me the impression that it was translated on google or something and honestly, the chaos of the dialogue kind of distracted me a lot from the actual game. I do like the black and white visuals and using PNGs for the characters was pretty funny but I think there's a lot of things that need to be improved. First of all, the character gets stuck on everything while the player is walking around. Then the lights behave quite weirdly when you're not looking directly at them, which makes it less immersive. I also noticed some weird audio glitches every now and then and for seemingly no reason. It's not a bad game, but it does need work. Your game is the last one on my video and starts at 25:37
Another low-quality parody of Fears to Fathom, I didn't even finish the game because of the shitty controls that can't be changed in any way. The sound burned my headphones and also got me evicted from my flat due to neighbour complaints
Really fun game, It's rough around the edges, collisions aren't great (Often get stuck walking next to walls and stuff), Dialog could for sure use some improvement.
BUT, the environment that was created here is truly beautiful. In an extremely disturbing, monochromatic kind of way. Sound design was good (for the environment, the scares could use some tweaking also). A unique experience for sure, Keep it up!

It's an ok game for one person. I would work on audio a bit more. Mainly ambient audio and VA audio. Besides that, it's not bad.
